our story
Located in northern California, we are a small, family hobby breeder who considers it a privilege and finds great joy in raising AKC Golden Retrievers. Our journey began over 20 years ago with our flagship golden, whose cherished memory became our namesake. At the core of our breeding program is the commitment to improve the breed, seeking outstanding health, wonderful temperaments, and adherence to beautiful breed standards. With utmost care, our purebred puppies are raised in our home, receiving loads of love and attention from day one, as we carefully expose them to a variety of people, situations, and safe challenges. Guided by the incredible weekly roadmap, Puppy Culture, we ensure that our puppies leave here as well-adjusted family dogs and loving companions.
healthy, happy bloodlines
Our parent dogs, including AKC golden retrievers, are genetically tested through Paw Print Genetics, and we utilize PennHip for hips along with OFA evaluations for elbows, hearts, and eyes. To enhance longevity, many of the outside sires we choose come from exceptional (lighter) European bloodlines. This, paired with the athleticism of American field retrievers, ensures that our purebred puppies inherit both beauty and health from this wonderful combination. Our dams and sires originate from lineages known for their calm dispositions, highly intuitive natures, strong retrieving instincts, and proven trainability. Several of our puppies have become certified service animals, while others excel as hunting dogs. Without exception, they've all turned into wonderful, loving additions to their forever homes, reflecting the dedication of our family hobby breeder approach.
