Hello & about us...

our story

Located in northern California, we're a small, family hobby breeder who consider it a privilege and find much joy in raising AKC Golden Retrievers. Our journey began more than 20 years ago with our flagship golden, whose beloved memory naturally became our namesake. At the heart of all breeding programs is the call to improve the breed, so we look for outstanding health, wonderful temperaments, & the beautiful breed standards. With utmost care, puppies are raised in our home with loads of love & attention from day one; carefully exposing them to a wide range of people, situations, & safe challenges. Equipped with guidance from the amazing weekly-roadmap, Puppy Culture, we trust puppies leave here as well-adjusted family dogs & loving companions.

Our parent dogs are genetically tested through Paw Print Genetics and we use PennHip (for hips) and OFA elbow, heart, and eye evaluations. To improve longevity, many of the outside sires we use come from exceptional (lighter) European bloodlines. Paired with the athleticism of American field retrievers, offspring gain both beauty & health from this lovely combination. Our dams & sires come from lineages displaying calm dispositions, highly intuitive natures, strong retrieving instincts, & proven trainability. Several of our puppies are now certified service animals, while others excel as hunting dogs. Without exception, they've all become wonderful, loving additions to their permanent homes.

A puppy is soon a dog that requires a 10+ year commitment and for that reason we carefully screen all interested folks. All serious-minded applicants who recognize the commitment a puppy needs are happily considered and welcome. The wonderful reward of a golden's love & companionship is indeed worth the time & devotion spent on your new, young faithful friend.
